About
The stuff you’re probably here to read:
Kushi Beauchamp is an actor, playwright and teaching artist currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has performed in theaters around the country, recently appearing at KC Rep as Belle in A Christmas Carol, and Tinkerbell in Peter Pan & Wendy. She will now only be accepting roles with the word “bell” in the name. Other recent credits include Once (KC Rep), Charlie & The Chocolate Factory (The Coterie), and the lead role in the upcoming feature-length horror movie, “One Eye Open.”
Kushi has had opportunities to workshop her original scripts and performance art at multiple theatrical homes including Charlotte Street Scratch Night in KCMO, Risk/Reward’s Pavement Festival in Portland, OR, and as a two time playwriting resident of From The Ground Up. She has been a director at Profile Theater’s 24hr play festival, a Mentee of Third Rail Repertory Theatre, and has trained extensively in Suzuki and Viewpoints with the Portland Experimental Theatre Ensemble.
Kushi earned her MFA in Acting & Directing at the University of Missouri, Kansas City. She loves to teach and coach all ages - in classrooms, summer camps, and one-on one!
The bonus stuff:
Kushi loves to backpack and has hiked the entire width of the UK on the Coast to Coast trail!
She has worked in many bakeries and could make you a pretty cute cake in a pinch!
She plays the ukulele, piano, and has a secret acapella past…
Inherently crafty and easily bored, Kushi has tried most crafts, and would be happy to build you a shelf or make you a stuffed animal!
Kushi is a product of growing up in the coastal woods just north of San Francisco - she’d prefer to put her feet in the ocean every day if she could.
